What is body contouring by SculpSure®?

Because it can be hard to treat fatty deposits under the skin with diet and exercise alone, SculpSure® is a laser treatment designed to assist with the process. SculpSure® is a simple, fast, non-invasive treatment to restore a smooth, lean body and improve overall confidence. The 25-minute SculpSure® laser treatment heats fat and causes lasting destruction of fat cells. After each treatment, for up to 12 weeks, your body processes and flushes the cells through your immune system. Unlike some of the alternative fat treatments, SculpSure® does not cause lasting scarring, “shark bites,” lumps, or lasting pain.  

Who is a candidate for SculpSure®?

Body contouring is not designed to help individuals lose large amounts of weight. Instead, this process is best for those who carry fat in areas where traditional toning (through exercise) methods have failed. If the process is of interest to you, Dr. Clark and his physician assistants, Lauren and Ana, will be happy to consult with you and help you determine if it would be a good fit for your needs.

What should I expect during the procedure?

During a complimentary consultation appointment, you will be evaluated by the provider and your target areas will be discussed and a treatment plan recommended. Once we have a treatment plan, the SculpSure® laser applicators are attached over the treatment area. During the treatment targeted fat is heated but the skin is cooled to ensure your comfort. You will feel deep warmth or tingling but it will not be painful. The treatment takes 25 minutes to treat up to 24% of the fat from the treatment area. The SculpSure® treatment is totally non-invasive and could even be done over a lunch hour!

What can I expect after SculpSure® Body contouring?  

The most common side effect experienced with SculpSure® is slight bruising or tenderness after the procedure. This may last a few days, but it can usually be eased through the use of over-the-counter pain medication. There is no recovery time, so you can immediately resume normal activities.
